Rootastes’ Launches Late Fall Chef’s Specialty Menu
The leaves have almost fallen off the trees and the harvest is winding down, but we’re still stocked on our favorite local ingredients.
Late Fall Menu Additions
Chef Faye has been so inspired by the savory flavors of fall that she crafted two late fall dishes that are sure to delight as we head into winter.
Maple Roasted Pumpkin is sweet with a hint of salt, attributed to pumpkin seeds and feta cheese. Along with grilled pumpkin and maple syrup, we also add caramelized onions for their texture and flavor.
Our Baked Baby Bella may not have the rich flavors of Maple Roasted Pumpkin, but don’t underestimate this light dish. We bake baby Portobello mushrooms and top them with fresh thyme and garlic. Oh so good!
