5 Morning Routines That Will Boost Your Day

Our mornings can make or break our days. We’re all for setting up our day for success, so we’re sharing five morning routines that help you achieve greatness throughout your day.

Sip lemon water

Warm lemon water is excellent at detoxifying the liver, but sipping it first thing in the morning leads to other benefits as well. Lemons are loaded with vitamin C, which boosts the immune system and lemons’ antibacterial properties also help to fight infections.

If that’s not enough, lemons boost the metabolism and sipping lemon water in the morning improves digestion and energy. Squeeze lemons into green tea for added benefits.

Prepare your lunch

It’s easy to get sucked into our to do list when we get to work, allowing lunch hour to sneak up on us. Instead of reaching for an unhealthy option out of convenience, set your lunch plans in the morning.

A healthy lunch has been proven to boost productivity and focus throughout the afternoon, and if you plan your lunch ahead of time, you’re more likely to enjoy a healthy one.

Even if you don’t have time to pack your lunch or want to take a day off, there are many corporate lunch caterers who offer healthy options.

Move

Morning workouts wake us up and have been proven to boost metabolism. Furthermore, exercising in the morning boosts physical and mental energy throughout the day, reduces stress, and encourages healthy eating choices.

If you’re not into exercising that early, stretching is a great alternative.

Do some chores

Nothing beats coming home to a clean home after a long day! Leave some time in your morning to make your bed, do the dishes, put things away- and if you really have time- vacuum the floor.

Unplug

Nothing derails a day more than checking your phone first thing in the morning. Whether you’re perusing social media or checking emails, gazing at our phones reminds us of everything we have to do that day, leading to anxiety and the association waking up with an unpleasant experience.

Instead, take the time for inspiration. Be mindful while sipping your coffee (or lemon water!) and consider journaling. Easing into the day will help you own it.

Wake up and seize the day with these morning routines!
