Our Recommended Recipes for Farm Fresh Basket (Week of April 25)

Thank you for ordering a Rootastes Farm Fresh basket! We hope you’re enjoying your fresh, locally grown produce, meats, and other Boston-based goodies. If you’re looking for inspiration or to mix up your go-to recipes, we’ll be sharing a few of our favorites every week that can be prepared using the ingredients in that week’s basket.

This week’s recipes will work with ingredients included in April 25, 2020’s baskets.

Rootastes Chefs’ Curated Recipes

We’re so excited about this week’s salmon add-on from Red’s Best! It’s sourced fresh from the Gulf of Maine. Our chefs recommend searing it and serving with a lemon garlic butter. While delicious on its own, be sure to continue following the recipe for fresh pasta alfredo and roasted carrots. Talk about a divine dinner! Check out the spread here.

Prefer to stick with chicken? Our oven roasted chicken is always a hit, and our chefs are sharing one variation of it in this oven roasted chicken with caramelized onion and tomato jam recipe. (Psst! It’s the perfect way to preserve your extra tomatoes!)

For a savory side that can also stand on its own, our Potato Salad with Beets and Beans is a great go to. Traditional potatoes are paired with nutritious beets and crunchy green beans for a flavorful and delicious salad.

Chef Favorites

Our chefs scoured the web for more irresistible recipes that utilize even more of our basket ingredients. Whether you prefer munching on raw veggies or biting into their softer cooked counterparts, you can have both this week!

The Ultimate Caprese Salad tosses juicy tomatoes with aromatic olive oil, fragrant basil, and hearty mozzarella cheese for a light meal that satisfies.

For a pasta dinner with a less prep and a lot of flavor, enjoy roasted beet and garlic pasta.

If you decide to give any of these recipes a try, let us know what you think. We’d also love to see how you’re getting crafty in the kitchen with your basket, so be sure to share your favorite recipe!
